There is no doubt that MV Agusta’s F3 is one of the most evocative sportsbikes of the modern era and is a choice for a rider who chooses their mount for its soul, and now we’ve got more details about the bike after a smattering of information revealed last year.

MV Agusta have revealed a new and much improved F3 RR that now pumps out 155 horsepower (with accessory exhaust) from its now Euro5 spec’ 798 cc triple while tipping the scales at only 173 kg, or an even more svelte 165 kg with the optional Race Kit.

That’s a class leading 147 hp in standard trim, including new valve guides and DLC treated tappets, alongside titanium valves and reduced inertia and friction thanks to updated main bearings.

The exhaust was likewise updated, offering more power and torque at all revs, maintaining the iconic MV Agusta note, while injectors are new and offer greater pressure, up to 0.5 bar. Even the oil radiator has been improved with a dual flow system offering five per cent greater effeciency.

It now has wings and vastly improved aerodynamics with carbon fiber side fairings, lighter rims, updated two-way Quick-Shift EAS 3.0, new six-axis IMU and Continental ABS system. The clutch hub has also been reinforced, with better manageability according to MV, alongside noise reduced.

That’s eight kilograms of downforce from the integrated wings at 240 km/h without losing any top speed, while wheels are 10 per cent lighter and offer seven per cent less intertia.

Electronics are meanwhile controlled via a 5.5 inch TFT display, with MVRide App compatibility on both IOS and Android, including turn by turn navigation, and social media sharing options.

Also available is the Racing Kit, which adds CNC machined fuel cap, brake and clutch levers, alongside a seat cowl, and Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, that is even road approved, and comes with a dedicated control unit, allowing the bike to reach the previously mentioned boosted performance and lightened weight figures.

Other features of note are the carbon-fibre front guard, and cockpit spoiler, new leather/Alcantara seat, CNC footpegs, handlebar controlled launch control, cruise control.

The 2022 MV Agusta F3 RR will run a 830 mm seat height, with 16.5 L fuel capacity, and the max-speed quoted is 240 km/h.

Suspension settings have also been tweaked, in the Marzocchi 43mm USD forks with full adjustability, as well as in the progressive Sachs monoshock, also offering full adjustability. Brakes are by Brembo with dual four-pot calipers on 320 mm rotors, and a two-pot rear on 220 mm disc.
